[comp.os.minix] Minix on a TI Business-Pro

This is being posted for a friend, Chris Petrilli, who doesn't at the
moment have net access (on leave of UT).

--------

Has anyone been able to get Minix (PC v1.5.10) working on a Texas
Instruments Business-Pro? The current configuration of the one I use
is:

	80286@8Mhz
	2.1Mb of RAM
	CDC Wren II 48Mb HD
TI MFM HD/Floppy Controller (uses NEC u765 chip)
	TI Video Adapter
TI PC/AT Video Adapter (both connected using ribbon cable)
	TI Speech II DSP board
	3+Com Etherlink adapter
Archive Viper 60Mb DC600 tape backup
	1.2Mb 5 1/4" floppy

The problem seems to be in recognizing (sp?) the floppy format
(currently booting off of 360K). It prints the "Booting MINIX v1.5.."
message, reads a little more off of the floppy, and then locks. It will
understand a soft boot (i.e. Cntrl-Alt-Del), so I suspect the floppy is
being mis-interpreted.

Has anyone sucessfully (or even just kind-of) gotten Minix to run on the
TI? I know the Speech board and other stuff is wierd, but I would
prefer to keep it, as I am going to try and get some of it working under
Minix if I can.

Any suggestions?

Chris
