actually DEC's series is better, especially if you end up supporting something like the VT220 or VT340, which offer "true" graphics as opposed to the ANSI and VT100 character based graphics... you could also emulate a TEK terminal(including it's ANSI mode) and get both "good" proprietary graphics interface, and a nice toy(ANSI)
