When I said that I would write a 4.2 BSD fast file system on first an MFM and then a SCSI controller, I was talking about patching the drivers for those controllers since I heard they weren't that hot. It would be, as someone pointed out, stupid to hard code a file system to a single device and then rework it for another device. Also, the multi-threaded version will be done after the single thread system. Not everyone posting to this group is braindead. Enough said.
