tvf@cci632.UUCP (Tom Frauenhofer) (11/20/90)
I've noticed a problem with { Minix, dd } where it will not recognize
all the 40 Meg of my ST-251 hard disk. Once it hits the 32 Meg limit
it complains about a bad block and quits. My disk is divided into a 5
Meg partition and a 35 Meg partition. I know this setup works, I used
to have Microport Unix on it and it had no problems. I also know that
there are others out there running Minix on large disks.
FYI I am running Minix 1.5.10 on a 386sx, 2 Meg of memory, the 40 Meg
disk and a 20 Meg disk, boot using Shoelace, etc. (I haven't installed
the 386 Minix patches yet, I want to use the 35 Meg partition for all
that good stuff...).
Thanks in advance.
