Over the last few weeks there has been some discussion on this newsgroup about the possible use of the Bellcore MGR window system on Minix. I am currently using Minix as the base on which to build remote operations as part of my research work. MGR is thus of interest to me at the protocol level, in addition to the possible use as a graphics interface. Currently I am using the MGR package that was distributed over the comp.os.unix newsgroup some 18 months ago. There is a reasonable amount of documentation with the source code in this package and thus I can determine most of my requirements from that which is available. But how has the world outside the network environment accepted the MGR system? Thus my question. Can anyone post or point me to references to publications which deal with MGR? My searching as yet has not yielded any. Thanks for any assistance that might provided.
