Does anyone know if Prentice-Hall Minix 1.5 will run on something like a Toshiba T1000LE laptop (9.54 MHz 8086, 20MB hard disk, 1.44MB floppy)? That would be heaven -- a laptop Unix-like box. There used to be a compatibility list posted every once in a while, but I can't find it. Also, is Minix available on 3.5 inch disks? -- KiYun Roe kroe@sbcs.sunysb.edu Department of Computer Science SUNY at Stony Brook Stony Brook, NY 11794-4400 (516) 632-7675

I've had Minix up and running on my Toshiba 3100 portable with very few problems. My machine is a 286 with 640k and a 10Mb hard drive. The only reason I took it off was the lack of HD space for the DOS apps. that I really need. If I had a bigger faster HD I'd put it back on. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= lzirkel@albion.utah.edu "Quoth the Raven, 'Eat my shorts'" -- "Bo knows...
