Greetings, I have an IBM PS/2 Model 70 (4MB RAM, 120MB disk) and am trying to get Minix-386 running. However, I am having trouble with the hard disk. The comments in ps_wini.c indicate that it has worked for the Model 70. However, when booting Minix-386 (via Shoelace) with the ps_wini driver, two error messages decorate the screen (and I paraphrase): Controller is not ready in com_out Controller may not be a ST506 The boot continues and I can run Minix-386 from the floppy, gratifying but extremely limited. On the other hand, booting with Minix straight with the ps_wini driver, no error messages appear, but the boot hangs, apparently while executing /etc/rc, (though I'm not sure). On the other other hand, everything works fine booting Minix straight with the bios_wini driver. Can someone shine even a glimmer of light on my problem? If you need more information, feel free to ask. Thank you much. Doug Burks _O_ dbx@olympic.atmos.colostate.edu |<
