I'm considering using minix to solve a problem the radio station I work for has. I will be writing an application for non-technical folks and am wondering if there exist many application programs either commercial or public domain running under minix. I'm looking for database applications or libraries specifically. Also, has any work gone into a GUI for minix- the easier I can make this program to use the more it will be used- or a VGA driver for minix. The info sheet mentions EGA but no VGA. Thank you for your time, C Breyman cbreyman@ucsd.edu

Please note: Minix currently doesnt support floating point (At least the standard distribution). >work gone into a GUI for minix- the easier I can make this program >to use the more it will be used- or a VGA driver for minix. I'm currently working on a port of Bellcore's MGR window manager program to Minix, but do'nt expect this too soon. Thomas Heller Germany <pph93@dmswwu1a.bitnet>
