MUGNET-UK should be live by the end of January 1991. I have picked up
the mantle for running the UK backbone site, and will be pulling all
the threads together during January for a definite LIVE system.
I propose to charge a one-off connection fee, plus an annual
subscription. This will cover up to a certain amount of e-mail a
month, with the excess being charged at so much per K. Sounds like
the standard UKNET rubbish, I know, but the charges will be much
lower. Newsfeed will be on a demand basis - I propose to offer
comp.os.minix and some other source groups (alt.sources,
comp.sources.unix and so on) on a shared cost basis.
I need subscribers - what about you ?
