first of all, thanks to all of you who have sent replies to me. this has got to be the worlds largest tech support team! a few of you have suggested that i name my system in case i have some monster lurking in this silicon beast... so... i have a tandy 1000 tx with an extended keyboard (msdos needs a .sys file called xtkbddrvr.sys to interpret the keys correctly), a 20meg hard drive (tandy's), 640k and a modem in com2 (it's in one of the expansion slots). i'd like to be able to boot from the hard drive and i'd also like to use the modem. oh, drive 0 is a 3.5 and drive 1 is a 5.25. does anyone have a setup similar to this and wht problems have they encountered. kevin
