[comp.os.minix] Shoelace

cwr@pnet01.cts.com (Will Rose) (05/02/90)

Using Earl Chews posted varargs.h, and defining it as a local header in
shoe.c, I get a clean compile of the whole set up with one pointer
warning. We appear to have the technology, Commander.

Good luck - Will

I'm sure it's something I'm missing out, when I try to compile the sources,
I'm getting very many "unresolved references", most would seem to be from
the include files. I have everything in /usr/src/shoelace and I also have
copies of the include stuff in /usr/include as well.
Thanks in anticipation.

There are people out here willing to provide some assistance... however, it
almost impossible when you leave out critical things like:

1. How you tried to compile the sources.
2. What version of Minix you are running.
3. How you have patched your version of Minix.
4. Which compiler you're using.
5. Which program produced the error messages (I presume asld in this case).
6. What the actual error messages are!

dhs@adaptive.UUCP (David Shoulders) (01/06/91)

I just received 1.5 from PH, and I'm just beginning to look at installing it
on my machine. I'd like to be able to boot either DOS or Minix, of course.
I looked around a bit on plains.nodak.edu, but didn't see any shoelace files.
(I'm assuming the "multiboot" stuff is not it.)

Could somebody tell me where I get the code, preferably by FTP?

-- Also, if anyone has advice about installing on a Western Digital WDM3
286 motherboard, please offer it.

Thanks.
