I'm very interested in getting in touch with people who are using minix to process news and mail via uucp. I am planning to buy minix 1.5 and upgrade it with the 386 patches. Then I want to use it to run uucp, C news and trn (trn is my threaded newsreader based on rn -- it was recently posted to comp.sources.unix). I'm planning to port whatever I need to get this done, but I don't want to re-invent the wheel. If anyone else is working in this area I'd love to hear from you. Also, if you have any information that might help me, please pass it along. I'll summarize any information I get. -- \ /| / /|\/ /| /(_) Wayne Davison (_)/ |/ /\|/ / |/ \ 0004475895@mcimail.com (preferred) (W A Y N e) davison@dri.com (...!uunet!drivax!davison)

(Personal message to oneill@ps.ud.ac.uk: my mail to you bounced, some uk machine said that the domain above doesn't exists. Could you mail me again, with some path that works) In a message of 10 Jan 91 23:56:43 GMT, Wayne Davidson said: [about uucp, news and mail] > but I don't want to re-invent the wheel. The person to contact about uucp, rmail and news is Fred van Kempen (waltje@minixug.mugnet.org), who posted a uucp package, mail reader and remote mail program (UUCP, WMAIL and UMAIL) and has a news package (WNEWS) up and running. See the Minix info sheet for more details about the minixug archive.
