After patching Minix 1.5 with Patch 1 & 2 (virtual consoles and that stuff)
I've got problems with accessing /dev/lp. Whenever I do that (just lpr for
example) I'll get a kernel panic. Really strange. I did all that patching
and compiling two times, to be sure. I used the ACK compiler, in case that
helps. The rest works fine; even the virtual consoles... :-)

Any hints?

This is due to the change in the harddisk driver. You have to increase
the stack of it because it needs more for the extended partitions.
Quadruple it and Your printer will work again.
(Seems that the driver clobbers the printer driver is it hasn't enough
stack :-) ).

Minix is wonderfull!
Thanks to all who helped makeing it.
