[comp.os.minix] ls on 386. Can't get it to work !!

Hi all,
I have just recently finished the main part of creating Minix386.
I have created it on just one disk which can boot up from drive A and copy
the file system to ram to serve as the root file system. To do this I had
to add a few lines to the config file like which is the rootdevice, how
large and things like that. Apparently I cannot get the ls command to work!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Other commands like df cat ln work without a hassle. The
ls though saids cannot execute!!!!!!!!!!

I have checked my path, permissions and the disk itself for any
bad blocks. Nothing! When I reset the config file to its initial mode where
it uses drive A as the root device and does not use a RAM disk ls works fine!!
What on earth can be happening????

Any advice would be more than greatly appreciated. What can be so special
with the ls command?

I made the disk following John's instructions and after reading the
documentation for Shoelace and the likes. Just to be sure that ls was made
correctly I redid it but still no change. Help.
