Yes, this editor is called ELLE (ELLE looks like Emacs). Missing things are: no command-line mode, no modes in general, max two windows and a few other things. But this editor is able to edit files up to 600 and more KBytes. If you want more features for smaller files, use MicroEmacs. I have version 3.8b up and running on PC MINIX 1.5.10. Files are restricted to 23 KBytes in length, but ther features are fine. Both are so fast, that I never have to wait for them.
