I just recieved Minix 1.5.10 from Prentice-Hall, and installed it on my machine. Love it! But I've got several questions... (1) Is there a way to fix the mis-positioning of the TTY windows? They are set a couple pixels too far down, so that the bottom edge of the window just gets cut off by my Mac's 9-inch screen. If it's a patch or something, could someone please mail it to me or the like? (2) Is there a less primitive "mail" system available for Minix, and is there some form of "news" system, so people could post news and others can read it (sort of like the "msgs" command, or, even better, a miniature "rn", where you can have differnet "newsgroups"? Where may I obtain them, if they exist? (3) Does anyone know what editors will work under Minix (the ones I'm mainly] interested in are Emacs and Jove)? Last time I tried compiling Jove, it choked on me. Anyone gotten either Emacs or Jove to compile, and if so, how? Please mail all responses to me at gousha@ocf.Berkeley.edu, thanks!
