[comp.os.minix] How to get Amiga MINIX?

mpierce@ewu.UUCP (Mathew W. Pierce) (02/07/91)

I have a few questions:

1) How does one get Amiga Minix?
2) What is it's cost?
3) How (and where) does one get PC Minix?
4) How much does PC Minix cost?
5) Does PC Minix limit processes to 64K, and does Amiga Minix do same?

Thanks in advance

I ordered Amiga Minix 1.5 from Prentice-Hall directly and
ordered it from their MicroSystems division/department

The bill was $169 plus shipping and handling.

I assume that you contact the same folks and that the price would be the
same.

Not sure on this one, but I think that the PC processes are limited to 64K,
while that limit has been removed from the Amiga. One thing to note is that
the C compiler only works on the 'small' memory model (64K instruction +
64K data space).
