Quite a while ago, I ordered the Minix demo disk from Prentice-Hall using the books@prenhall.com mail address. I got a message back on December 18, 1990, telling me that my order was being processed. I still don't have the disk, and have sent several messages to Prentice-Hall asking what happened. Only one of my messages was answered (about 2 weeks ago) and I haven't heard anything since then. I was really looking forward to playing with the demo disk and ordering Minix, as it seems like a great product. However, my experience with Prentice-Hall has really left a bad feeling, and I'm not so sure I want to deal with them anymore. Does anyone know where I can buy Minix without dealing with PH? Is it available in any computer stores? Any private people selling their copy? -- David F. Skoll
