I'm on the verge of having a MacMinix acquisition attack, but before I drop my $ for the disks (and probably another hard drive), I wish to have a few fundamental questions answered. I've seen a lot of articles asking similar types of queries, but as yet no responses. (Perhaps someone in this newsgroup posts a regular MacMinix bulletin?) *My* version of these questions goes like this: 1. How much disk space-- reasonably-- should I reserve for Minix and any routine files it & I may generate? 2. Can I launch it from Multifinder like an application, or is there some arcane boot procedure? 3. How easy is file conversion between Mac OS and Minix? I don't care so much about peripheral support if I can quickly transfer text files back and forth between the two sides. 4. Were any special allowances made for the Mac interface, like allowing clipboard copies from Minix? 5. Any caveats for version 1.5? If so, will these be bugs be fixed in the next release. BTW, I have no intention of upgrading to Apple's System 7. Not for quite a while.
