Before I start pulling my hair out I was wondering if somebody with a
similar configuration has gotten minix up. I'm getting "Read Error:
Automatic Reboot" when I attempt to boot from any of the boot disks.
I know the disks are okay because I tried them out on a "real" PC at
work and they boot just fine.
My hardware configuration is as follows:
Gateway 2000 386/33MHz Cache Special
-Micronics 386 ASIC Cache System Motherboard
-DFI, Inc. MIO-400KF multi I/O board IDE controller, dual floppy
controller, game port, 2 serial ports, and a parallel port.
-Western Digital Caviar 280 80MB IDE hard drive
-1.2 MB 5.25 floppy drive
-1.44 MB 3.5 floppy drive
-Diamond Computer Systems, Inc. SpeedSTAR VGA adapter
-Crystal Scan 1024 monitor
If it turns out to be a hardware incompatibility what options
(if any) do I have?
Can anyone enlighten me? Any ideas? Help.
