I can't remember where I saw the program to read and write MINIX floppies under PCDOS? Pointers, please? Clarence Wilkerson

>>> I can't remember where I saw the program to read and write MINIX floppies >>> under PCDOS? Pointers, please? ---------- You saw it here in this newsgroup. I am currently updating the program, to correct a nuisance bug, and to allow the copying of MSDOS files TO a Minix filesystem, while running under MS-DOS. If your need is urgent, e-mail me, and I'll send you what you want.

In NYUMINIX, I wrote two programs to transfer files between MINIX and MS-DOS, running under NYUMINIX. They are short scripts, in fact. Because I had the nice device driver to handle MS-DOS files for me. The way we use floppy here is: we copy an MS-DOS file, which is a MINIX file system, onto the floppy and carry it. (While running MS-DOS.) These programs will come along with my "Guide to Install NYUMINIX". Benchiao Jai jai@cs.nyu.edu
