I'm having serious problems losing characters over the serial port while I'm doing intense disk activity in the background. What I'm doing (at this very instant) is backing up my Minix partition to a DOS partition using ``tar | compress | doswrite'', so that I can backup my entire hard drive onto tape. (I haven't looked into whether Colorado backup systems can be run under Minix). Anyway, I'm losing characters left and right while on the modem here. While reading news I'm losing entire screens at a time. I'll try to look into it some time RSN, but has anyone else had similar problems? Could it have anything to do with doswrite?
