About splitting the list: - I think (hope) that the discussion about splitting along the CPU lines has ended, in favor of NOT splitting the list. - Concerning the separation of sources and comments: Has anyone thought about those pour fellows (like me) that do not have (and cannot get) FTP access to remote sites. There are still some people who are running Minix on a standalone computer. However, I favor this split if the problem of non-FTP users is solved in a reasonable way. About the Intel CPU's. Guys, has anyone cursing the 80(2)86 CPU ever thought of the original purpose of Minix ? Minix was designed as an O.S. the help teaching students about O.S.s, not to do some fancy high-level processor stuff.
