Date: 9 Oct 1982 1:10-PDT We found that the only way to find out what sdb requires is to read the code for sdb. Even the compiler experiments you suggest fail because a) the compiler doesn't do everything, and b) the compiler has bugs in it. Speaking of bugs, has anybody done any significant work on sdb? I have had tremendous problems with bogosities in sdb, such as not being able to break on single-line functions, occasionally getting the symbol table completely screwed up, and not being able to use the S command when there are two function calls on the same line of a function. I can use sdb for System III and/or for 4.1bsd. -- Lee
