I'm hoping that someone can help me with this:
When recompiling the kernel in MacMinix, The compilation goes without a
hitch...(after chmeming everything high enough ...;)
The problem comes when I try to use the NEWMacBoot that's used. It tries to
load the root, (originally ROOT, but I can interrupt the loading, and change it
to my standard root), then, before the ramdisk gets started, I'm told to 'press
any key'.
I went back, found the press any key message, traced it to do_abort, then
found a panic("" call. This I replaced with panic("do_abort", then recompiled,
and re-ran it. Sure enough, it happened again. Well, surprise, surprise.
Okay, I give up. I've tried tracing this, and will continue to do so, but
has any other MacMinix user run into this problem?
Macs forever!!
