Thanks to all those who responded to my plea for a way to increase the typematic rate on AT keyboards. It turns out that a program to do this called "fastkey" was posted here a cupla years ago. It must have been one of those programs that I didn't save because all I had was an XT, and I was sure that the next machine I bought would have a 680x0 in it, rather than anything from Intel. Norbert Schlenker (nfs@Princeton.EDU), the author of fastkey, sent me his latest version. Apparently, his site is currently having problems getting stuff out to the net, otherwise he would have posted it. If you're interested, he says that fastkey is available at most fine Minix archive sites near you.
