[comp.os.minix] 386 booting problem

Hi,
        I am trying to get Minix-386 boot on my system (Zenith 386-25), and am
following the John Nall's tutorial. As my system does not have a 5.25 high
density drive, but does have a 3.5 HD drive, so I am trying to use the 3.5
diskette in place of 1.2 diskette. I use it as if it was a 5.25 inch DSHD
diskette, other wise laceup does not recognize the 3.5 DSHD diskette. Is there
something wrong here except the little loss in storage space.
        My problem is when I try to boot the 386 version, I come upto the Load
parts Kernel: and then I get the error message /etc/system/kernel not found,
/etc/system/minix not found. I have copied the kernel to this place twice but
the error repeats- though I don't have any idea about the whereabouts of
/etc/system/minix. Can anyone suggest what could have gone wrong.
        Finally, can someone guide as how to make a bootable diskette without
using shoelace.

thanks

aditya
