I followed the procedure given in the manual to detect bad blocks
on my hard disk. The procedure was :
- cd \
- readall -b /dev/hd4 > bad.4
- sh < bad.4
The file bad.4 had actually bad blocks numbers indicated in it and
files were created in /usr to map bad blocks in those files. My problem
is that the bad blocks does not seem to be lock in theses files because
I still have unrecoverable disk error on these same bad blocks when
using commands that write to the disk.
Can any one help me with this problem. Thanks
