Hello all Mini-freaks! I'm going to buy me a new hardisk for my 286-PC/AT. I'm using a 40meg Conner now, but it seems to be rather s-l-o-w on my system. I have now decided to upgradee to a larger and FASTER drive (about 120-200meg).What is the fastest comination drive/controller for my system? Since Minix's file-system is single-threaded, I suppose the drive's performance is pretty critical when more than one file-system service is beeing carried out at once. Of course: My account is not unlimited, so the combination should not exceed $900. Does anyone know about a IDE-driver for Minix 1.5.10? IDE-drives is becoming sheaper every day.
