Hello all, I have recently brought MacMinix and I have experienced a number of problems in getting it running. The first of these is that Minix refuses to run under multifinder. I Use 6.0.4 with a 6.1b relsease of the Multifinder, and various inits. I tried it with a vanilla 6.0.4 system and a 6.0.7, but Minix still crashes.. It does not get to the point of loading the kernel. I have also tried recompiling the kernel but something complains that it runs out of memory. My mac has 2.5M and I chmem'ed all the programs that cc calls during compilation. It is only the kernel that does not recompile. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. (btw Has anyone used MacIdris, another Unix like operating system for the mac, very much in the flavor of Minix? If so, I would like to hear from them...) Yes, Minix will NOT successfully run under MultiFinder even tho the data sheet says that it will. I bought Minix back in Sept/Oct and have been unable to use it (much) because of that fact. A fix was supposed to be ready back in February/March, but nothing yet... Ray
