Hi Minix users, A friend of mine is trying to learn Unix and has bought Minix for his PC-XT. Because there is not a yacc or lex on the standard distribution I tried to port gnu bison and flex. (I assume that there are Minix ports of these programs but I wanted to get an impression of the effort needed to get these running). All compiled well (except strings which span more than one line and are terminated with \newline) but the combined assembler/loader truncates identifiers at 8 symbols. Does somebody have a Fix for this problem? Please reply by mail because I do not read this newsgroup regularly. Thanks in advance for any tips !!!
