I've been trying to compile the 1.5.10 tools/init.c but have had problems with asld reporting that _vectab and _M are missing. Can anyone tell me where these are supposed to be defined? I had to build libc.a by hand (using a *lot* of ar calls) since mkorder and libbuild (provided in Glen.O.tute) don't seem to work (for me!). Much of the documentation regarding the upgrade to 1.5 is too fragmented and inadequate at best. It's left me making guesses in many places. I don't know if the way I've hand-sorted libc.a could be causing this (although I'm pretty sure the library order is correct). Building a 1.5 bootdisk using the 1.3 init (without separate I & D) doesn't result in a very stable system (to say the least!).
