I am setting up (on another machine) some compatable drivers for floppy disks. To program this beast correctly, I need all the fancy constants that make the thing play. In particular, the approiate gap lengths, and the like. Since this group has some knowledge of hardware (others I cannot vouch for), does anybody have the correct formatting and read/write constants for the 765 floppy controller (the one that is used in the IBM PC) to make it operate on IBM compatable disks. At present I do not have source, but all I ask for are the constants for things like 1.2 meg AT style disks, 1.44 3 1/2" disks, and 720 3 1/2" disks. I am attempting to build up a more universal floppy disk driver for my present system. In addition, if available some information on floppy disk controller based tape drives (a driver here would be nice) would be appreciated. Responses via E-mail appreciated, If intrest, a follow-on message will result. Thanks for the help. ----- Tom Watson, somewhere in sillycon valley.
