Hi there, I've recently applied the Virtual Console patches to my kernel. I am now building a new kernel. I would like to run ps(1) on my system, so I have to make sure that the symbol table is applied to kernel, mm, and fs. I can't get the symbol table to stick to the kernel!!! I am using '-s' with asld, so a symbol table is getting put into a file for me. I then run 'ast'. When I do a 'file' on kernel, it tells me that it is stripped. 'nm' does not give me any output either! This procedure works correctly with mm and fs. The weird thing is that it did work before I applied the VC patches (I think :-) ). Does anyone know what's happening here?
