Hi all; I also have had this problem with uucp. It will stall in the middle of a transfer that is of even moderate length. I thought that I was just having problems with our extra-ordinarily noise line. For some reason, that the operator wont bother fixing, the NULL char gets a /001 after it. I tried the newest version that was posted recently to plains in the pub/Minix/ftp_contrib/uucp3.lzh file. This didn't seem to make any difference unfortunatly. If you use this package, you need to remove the foo column from L-devices. It also won't let you poll a sysem if there is no outgoing transfers to that system (read BUG in very large letters).
