Hello; I've just finished upgrading Minix to 1.5, but have run into some problems. Whenever I use readclock, I get an error (Memory Fault - Core Dumped). I recall reading somewhere that I need to create a /dev/port. Is there a script somewhere that will do this for me?? I've also got similar problems using dosread/write which looks for a /dev/dosA file. I linked this file to /dev/at0 (which works, but I don't know if this is HOW it should be done). I've gotten the 'Memory Fault' error on other occasions as well. Could this be a deeper problem with mm/fs/kernel?? I checked crc's during upgrading and everything was ok - no problems in compiling the different parts either. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Joe Janakovic |Bitnet: acps1794@ryerson.ca (preferred) | | |UUCP: canrem!joe.janakovic | | Applied Computer Science |I'net: acps1794%ryerson.bitnet@utcs.utoronto.ca | | Ryerson Polytechnical | | | Institute | "Are you a schizo? - If so, that makes | | Toronto, Ontario, CANADA | four of us." | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
