Date: 25 Oct 1982 1643-PDT In your message describing (I presume) the direction XENIX is going with regard to "." files, you say that sh and csh are filters as opposed to interactive, and that filters don't get default/startup files. Does this mean that .cshrc, .login, and .profile are to become no-no's ? It seems that a number of programs deny the disjointness of filter/interactive. sh, csh, ed, ex are a few. -------
