[comp.os.minix] Question about AmigaMinix

sdickens@nmsu.edu (DICKENSHIED) (06/27/91)

I have been trying to use Minix1.5.10.1 to install Minix on my Harddrive.
I have a nice 12 meg partition (2nd partition on the disk) but I can't seem
to even come close to accessing it via Minix.

For exampe... the instructions say that 'When Minix boots, a partition table
is printed.', yet I don't see any such thing when I boot Minix.
Am I missing something obvious here?

Also the docs mention HDToolBox... exactly what is that?

Any help is appreciated.

The amiga minix hd driver only supports Commodore hd controllers.
HDToolBox is a Commodore program to make partitions on harddisks etc,
it is distributed with all their controllers.
I guess that, since you don't have HDToolBox, you don't have a Commodore
hd controller (A590/A2090/A2091/A3000)?

I have a Commodore A2090A and Seagate ST1096n and the disk supplied by
Commodore for the A2090/A2090A, but there is no HDToolBOX program.
