STOC RECEPTION: There will be a reception for STOC attendees
on Sunday evening from 8 to 11PM in Ballrooms C&D at the Grand
Hyatt Hotel, Park Avenue at Grand Central. ASL attendees are
welcome. (Liquid refreshment is included in the STOC
registration fee. There will be a cash bar for those who have
not registered for STOC.)

     
                    PRACTICAL INFORMATION
     
STOC MEETING: The STOC meeting will be held May 25-27 at the
Grand Hyatt Hotel, Park Avenue at Grand Central. For further
information, write Professor Dana May Latch, Dept. of CIS,
Brooklyn College of CUNY, Brooklyn, NY 11210.
     
ACCOMMODATIONS: A block of rooms have been reserved for ASL
attendees at the Century Paramount Hotel for the nights of May
23 and 24. The rate is $70 for either a single or a double room.
(Rooms for May 25 thru 28 are also available if needed.)
For reservations, send the form below to arrive by May 10.  A
deposit in the amount of one night's lodging by check or major
credit card is required. The Century Paramount Hotel is located
at 235 West 46 Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue, in the
Broadway theater district. It is a short walk from the Port
Authority Bus Terminal where the buses from Newark Airport
arrive.
     
For those who wish to stay at the Grand Hyatt Hotel (where STOC
sessions will be held) a block of rooms have been reserved
beginning May 23, for ASL attendees at the special STOC rate of
$105 for either a single or a double room. For reservations, send
the form below to arrive by May 10.
     
HOW TO GET TO THE COURANT INSTITUTE: A taxi from midtown should
cost less than $5. To go by subway from the Century Paramount,
walk to the Times Square subway station. Follow signs to N and R
trains (or to the "BMT"). Take the N or R downtown to 8th Street.
Walk south on Broadway to 4th Street and then 1 block west to
Mercer Street. From the Grand Hyatt, use the Number 6 train
downtown from Grand Central and get off at Astor Place. Walk west
1 block to Broadway, south to 4th Street, and 1 block west to
Mercer Street.
