Aside from the decision Long Ago to use net.wanted.sources instead of
net.sources.wanted, why not reverse the decision now?

We could easily install an "alias" to transfer net.wanted.sources to
net.sources.wanted, and not archiving net.sources.wanted seems to be
trivial under 2.10.2.

I am not a Mac user, what follows is a tentative suggestion:-

Why can't sources be posted as just that, *sources* and not in binhex form?
If the sources were posted, I might be sufficiently interested to try to port
some useful program to the machine I am working on, rather than the Mac, Amiga
or whatever. It seems to me that this would be more in the spirit of the net,
ie to share useful resources/knowledge.

[I assume that anything posted to the net is public domain, or for public use
with copyright attached]
