I just received a sales sheet from "AIM Technology" on their Portable UNIX* Benchmark which measures "end-user throughput and multi-user performance". However, they want $1,250 for their benchmarks. Not wanting to spend this money on benchmarks, has anybody out there seen these benchmarks ? Anybody seen the results ? I would imagine that the results are of great interest to the UNIX community, but don't want to do what others have already done. For example, I would like to see their results on an 11/44 and an 11/730, since even though the two cpu's are very close in terms of Whetstones, I would imagine the 11/730 would benchmark faster running 4.1bsd with the 1024 byte buffers when compared to the 11/44 running stock V7 or System III.
