I'm looking for software to help with keeping track of things such as preparing for talks, having reports ready on time, etc., as well as remembering of meeting times, wife's birthday, etc. Optimally, I would like the software to encorporate the notions of deadlines, priority, and how much time is needed to complete the task, and how firm the deadlines are. I would like to be able to tell the system that I have to give a talk on Friday, the meeting can't be move, and that I will need at least two days to prepare. Then the system should start reminding me about the talk on Tuesday and Wednesday, and start screaming at me on Thursday. Another related feature would be for the system to keep track of what got done and what didn't. Something built on top of calendar(1) seems like a reasonable approach; we run 4.1BSD. Pointers ??? Other info ??? Comments ??? Thanks in advance, Dan Nachbar Dept. 11221 BTL-Murry Hill 2c-573 582-2328
