Attention Theory Students and Faculty: There will be an (important) meeting tomorrow (Wed. Sept. 6) at 2pm (that's right after the department luncheon) in the conference room to discuss a proposal that all Ph.D. students in theory be required to take one graduate level theory course per year for credit. This is a serious proposal which will probably be announced in one form or other THIS Thursday at the introductory theory meeting. Anyone having ANY concerns or comments on this matter should come to this meeting to discuss them.
