[rec.travel] query: can one lease PC's in kiwiland?

mls@cbnewsm.ATT.COM (mike.siemon) (11/21/89)

Help! Friends of mine are about to disport themselves amongst the
joys of New Zealand (they wax rapturous about their earlier visit)
but need to do some work along the way, and are concerned about the
differences in power systems. The simplest solution would be for
them to lease a laptop PC-clone in Auckland for a month or two -- I
write begging information from the Kiwis or any seasoned travelers
about firms in NZ (not necessarily Auckland, though that is the port
of entry/exit) that lease the bl**dy things.

Please email me, as I doubt there is any need to waste net bandwidth
with responses to this!

I would also be intrested in a list of corporations in NZ which would lease
PC and those which have USENET access. If anyone knows please e-mail me also.

      Thanks,
