While I know left from right [rest of article deleted] Here we see things come full-circle. First there was a line eater bug which munged articles which started with white space. In response to that we had "line eater" lines which people inserted to make sure the line eater didn't munge their article. Eventually, the line eater bug died out as sites upgraded or patched their software, but the "line eater" lines continued because people thought of them as cute. Now we see somebody putting in a "line eater" line which starts with white space -- if the line eater still existed, this is exactly the kind of article it would eat! -- Roy Smith, {allegra,cmcl2,philabs}!phri!roy System Administrator, Public Health Research Institute 455 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016 "you can't spell deoxyribonucleic without unix!"
