Some time ago Patt Haring mentioned the Wildnet mailing list on rec.birds, and several people got the idea that they could subscribe by sending to the mailing list itself. This has caused lots of "garbage" mail going out to the nearly 40 subscribers across North America. If you do become interested in the mailing list (which is oriented to discussions of computing/analysis in fisheries and wildlife research) please submit your subscription requests to wildnet-request@sask.uucp OR wildreq@sask.bitnet and not to the mailing list itself.
