If anyone is interested, the small colony of roseate terns that nest near Jones Beach, Long Island, is currently feeding young. The birds can be easily seen from the fence that surrounds the breeding area. The beach however, is private, so you must get there just before closing, and ask the guard to let you in for free (otherwise you must pay a $15 fee). The birds are gorgeous, and many of them show the rosy underparts for which they are named. If you would like directions to the colony, drop me a note, or call me at (201) 952-1190. -- ========================================================================= Greg Pasquariello AT&T Product Integration Center ihnp4!picuxa!gp 299 Jefferson Rd, Parsippany, NJ 07054 =========================================================================
