A few months ago I had the opportunity to get a hand-reared Corella or Bare-Eyed Cockatoo. As a pet, he is an absolute delight, very affectionate (even perhaps a bit too demanding!), sweet, and a funny clown to watch. He talks a bit as well. He seems to be quite intelligent as well: a behavior that surprised me was his taking apart a toy rawhide shoe, and getting a piece of string and threading it through the perforations along the sole! I have seen Corellas described as the least attractive (well, that's a matter of taste!) and the most intelligent of the cockatoos. I had never seen one available before, and was wondering if anyone else out there in netland is familiar with this breed and maybe can pass some information to me. Thanks! His name, by the way, is Seraphino Snezhinka. Lars
