We (Linda and I) are going to British Columbia for a three week holiday this year. Between May 16 and June 6 we intend to cover Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan Valley (roughly one week in each). Our primary activity will be birding, although we are also interested in mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and so forth. I am looking for suggestions on prime birding locations to visit in each of the three parts of B.C. we intend to cover. The intent is to maximize the use of our limited time in each part. A sort of "top ten" hot spots list might be a reasonable goal from which we could develop our itinerary. After the trip, I'll compile a summary of our sightings for those who express an interest.
