I have a friend who will be visiting me during the last week of April or so and we are both avid birders. Unfortunately, I am rather new to the New Jersey area, but would love to find out about about any good birding spots in New Jersey (coast, inland, ... anywhere). We hope to catch part of spring migration, although I suspect it may start a bit earlier than the early-mid May Point Pelee bonanza that I'm used to in Ontario. To all who have birded in New Jersey, where would you recommend, and how can we get there? We will be mobile (i.e. I have a car ) and would also be willing to camp or make day trips. Thanks a lot for any advice you may have.
